How do I set up my file?
When creating a Spot UV job, You must include a Spot UV file along with the regular full color file. The Spot UV file is used to show where the Spot UV will be placed. For each printed side that you wish to have Spot UV you must supply two files.
We accept the following file formats: AI, PDF, EPS, PSD, TIF. We require that the AI and PDF files have all fonts outlined and be saved as Acrobat 5 (PDF 1.4).
All file formats must have a minimum of 300 dpi (dot per inch) resolution at 100% of the final print size. Images designed for the web typically cannot be used for printing as they have a low screen resolution of 72 dpi. Print images need to be created at 300 dpi or there will be a substantial drop in the image quality.
All color artwork and/or images must be provided in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) color mode.
All black & white artwork and/or images must be provided in grayscale color mode.
For business cards and postcards, please build your print-ready digital files by adding 0.125″ bleed on all sides.
e.g. 3.5″x 2″ business cards with bleed is 3.75″x 2.25″, Please design your files based on our templates to ensure proper bleed.
Design templates are available for download specifying dimensions, bleed, safety zone, border requirements and any folding guidelines.
